Athena of the Gods:
Mobile Slot Game
Animations for Athena of the Gods Mobile Slot Game
I crafted animations for the highest winning symbols and the bonus round in the Athena of the Gods mobile slot game.
Bonus Wireframe: To kick things off, I created a wireframe to map out the animation flow and make sure everything was covered.
First Image: This shows my planning process, marking bone placements for precise deformation.
Character Rigs: For Athena and Ares, I designed the rigs with customisable shields and attack invocations using skins, adding flexibility and variety.
Second Image: Demonstrates optimized export preparation for the soldier. I coloured white elements in Spine, allowing the soldier to be either Athena's or Ares's.
These elements highlight my skill in creating detailed, dynamic animations for mobile games.

Soldiers Animations
To make the animations more efficient and versatile, I used skins in Spine 2D. This allowed the soldiers to be easily switched between level 1 and level 2, and to serve as either Athena's or Ares's soldiers. By colouring the white elements directly in Spine, I ensured the soldiers could be quickly customized and adapted to different roles and appearances.
Top Winning Symbols Animations
For the top winning symbols in Athena of the Gods, I started by dissecting the symbols in Photoshop. After exporting them as .json files, I imported them into Spine. There, I rigged and animated each symbol, ensuring smooth and dynamic movements that enhance the gameplay experience.
These steps highlight my process and expertise in creating high-quality animations for mobile games, blending technical skills with creative design.
Ares and Athena Hero Spine File
In the video below, I demonstrate how I used skins for customizable shields and implemented the idle, attack, and death animations for Ares and Athena. This showcases the versatility and dynamic range of their movements.
Magic and Explosions
Here, you can see the three incantations I designed, along with the explosions used in the game. I generated these effects using Trapcode Particular and then added hand-drawn elements for extra detail.
Finalised Game: Screen Recording
Check out the screen recording below to see "Athena vs Ares" in action, showcasing all the animations within the game flow. I planned the game flow, scoped out the necessary animations, and provided a timeline to the product team before animating everything. This approach ensured a smooth and engaging experience for players.
This video highlights how my animations bring the game to life, demonstrating my ability to manage the entire animation process from initial planning to final execution.
